Wednesdays and perspective

It’s Wednesday,

but,

this won’t be,

a  wordless post.

Wednesday,

some people call it,

hump day,

I’m not,

one of those people,

I work Saturdays,

after all:-)

for me,

Wednesday,

is kind of like,

Tuesday.

Perspective,

I guess:-)

It’s cold and sunny,

very sunny,

brilliant,

luminescent.

Missed the hockey game,

last night,

and,

they actually won!!

Woke up feeling,

ucky,

crampy,

wanting to burrow,

into the covers,

cuddle with the Dude,

but,

I didn’t,

I got up,

coffee,

shower,

put,

on my,

favourite jeans,

Lucky Brand I picked up, at seventy-five percent off,

my black waffle knit,

and,

my crazy horse blundstones,

and,

off I went,

listened to,

some James Taylor,

Just a thinkin’ ’bout women and glasses of beer

Walked,

at a brisk clip,

to work.

No matter,

how much,

you like your job,

some days,

it’s just,

a friggin’ job.

Mine?

much better,

than most,

some days,

I have to remind myself,

of this fact,

again perspective:-)

I’ve done a lot of reading,

lately,

non-fiction,

war memoirs,

gay history,

more Anarchism,

I’m letting,

it sit,

marinate,

allowing,

myself,

to gain,

perspective

That’s one,

of the big perks of this job,

time,

to think,

to read,

to develop perspective.

Not sure it makes me wiser,

but,

it is food for thought

🙂

Later girls,

BB

  1. BB: Perspective is everything: imagine perspective of the mouse and the eagle (I heard a story about a mouse becoming an eagle — a fable about a journey and gaining perspective.)

What do we expect of wisdom? And what is wisdom when it’s in action? How do we know it, feel it — outside of the cliches in movies books and fables of wise old crones, wise young ones, witches, medicine men and prophets…if any such creatures continue to exist, do we hear them? Believe them — those voices of wisdom?

  2. I think, at the risk of sounding, trite or worse ‘new agey’ 🙂 We have to seek the quiet place
that allows us to hear, and even more importanly listen to- our voice, our wisdom.
