well,
it took a few weeks,
and,
about about five or six,
applications.
But, I got a job
woo hoo and little jig
Funny,
it’s the first one,
I applied for,
and,
the one I wanted,
customer service,
part-time,
but,
twenty-six and a half hours,
a week,
on four days,
pay is good,
there will be fringe benefits,
and,
it leaves me time to write.
I’m really happy.
It’s a return to my roots,
so to speak,
since it will be on the phone,
nothing to do with books,
but,
it’s great,
something I can live with.
It will involve,
like,
all new jobs,
a learning curve,
and,
adaptation,
but,
I feel really good about all that,
I like to learn new stuff,
keeps you sharp,
keeps you young.
The weight that has been lifted,
from my shoulders,
wow,
I feel ten years younger,
than yesterday,
also,
twenty pounds lighter:-P
I know how lucky,
I am to have found,
quickly,
something that fits,
my needs,
my experience,
my aspirations,
I am so hyped,
so happy.
I was a little worried,
that my age would work,
against me,
and,
with some employers it might,
but,
not these people,
they see the advantage,
of experience,
and,
diversity.
I have to sign the offer tomorrow,
let them proceed,
with a credit and criminal record check,
but,
I’ve got the job.
I start training,
right after Thanksgiving
( Canadian Thanksgiving, which is October 14 th)
Did I mention,
I’m so dang happy
๐ ๐
Thanks for putting up,
with my angst,
you,
my girls,
are a big part,
of what keeps me,
motivated,
and,
believing in myself.
Big virtual hug to all of you.
๐
Later girls,
BB
Congrats. And how you have a couple of weeks to just sit back and relax with the idea in the wings. Enjoy!
Thanks:-) I am very happy about this!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
๐ I don’t know what this means, but, I feel it is good, very good, to my translator! I just looked it up, thank you very much indeed, my friend:-)
Oh – so sorry. That’s from Lewis Carroll’s poem Jabberwocky — it’s been the ultimate expression of joy heralding an immense achievement (in the poem it’s the slaying of the Jabberwock). In any event, congrats!
Don’t be sorry, I looked it up, the wonder that is Google and found out from where it came, even read the poem, it made me smile, it made me laugh and I was very touched, thanks Dee:-)
