Happy 500 th, BB:-)

A grey November morning,

yesterday’s southern wind,

has been replaced by,

the cold harshness,

of the northern wind.

Tuesday morning,

a quiet time,

at the bookstore,

a time that allows,

for reading,

for reflection.

This post is my 500 TH,

WOW:-)

I’ve been sharing,

my thoughts, ramblings,

and,

etats d’ames,

with you all,¸

for more,

than 2 years

🙂

When I started this blog,

I didn’t have an agenda,

I,

wanted to ‘talk’ about,

stuff that meant,

something to,

me.

Books,

mostly books,

and,

how important they are,

and,

have been,

in my life.

My passion,

my livelihood,

my work.

But, as all,

‘living’ things,

the blog,

has evolved,

giving voice,

to both my alter ego,

and,

my own ‘self’,

a forum,

to express,

my hopes,

my dreams,

my concerns,

and,

pains.

I have connected,

with many people,

virtually,

some have become,

‘friends’

some have,

sat a spell,

had a cup of coffee,

chewed the fat,

and,

moved on,

that’s life,

we connect,

enjoy each others company,

and,

move on,

and,

sometimes that connection,

is more personal,

more intense,

‘realer’.

To all those,

who have shared,

mine and BB’s journey,

thank you.

My little blog,

means a great deal,

to me,

it’s a part of me,

I only share,

here.

An exercise in virtual intimacy,

if that makes any sense.

I have no plans to stop,

writing bookish butch,

I’d like to see,

where it can take me,

take all of us.

I hope you’ll all,

keep dropping by

🙂

Here’s to the next 500 !!!!

To all of you,

my dear readers,

a big butchy virtual hug.

Later girls,

BB

I am a bookish butch in my mid early fifties. I live in Montréal and always have. I used to run a small used bookstore. Reading keeps me sane. My latest jiggie is photography, book project in the works, living the dream

  1. Happy 500! I’m so glad I found my way to your corner of the interwebz!

I was just reading that Ivan Coyote & Rae Spoon are going to be performing/reading in Montreal, and then I remembered that you’re there – and (maybe?) have never seen Ivan Coyote. Here’s a link to Rae’s website & the gig. Ivan’s website doesn’t seem to have the events page loaded.

  2. Oh – and here’s a description of the show from FB:

Writer/storyteller Ivan Coyote and writer/musician Rae Spoon bring together words, sounds and original music in their new show “Gender Failure”, an exploration and expose of their failed attempts at fitting into the gender binary, and ultimately, how the gender binary fails us all. Equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking, Coyote brings her razor-sharp timing and powerful narrative, and Spoon adds their ethereal voice and poetic turns of phrase to this new chapter in the dynamic duo’s now seven-yearold artistic partnership

  3. Thank You for telling me, I might have missed it, Ivan doesn’t update often enough:-) I’m going right to the face book page. I’m glad you found your way to my corner of the interwebz too.

  4. Hey BB: Wow, 500 posts: 500 different times you’ve put your thoughts out to the world, in words. So very glad that you do. Congratulations. I’m looking forward to your next 500 too. 🙂
