The sky is very blue,
this morning,
The Habs lost,
last night,
no big deal,
one game.
In the immortal words,
of that great American,
sports philosopher,
Yogi Berra,
not to be confused with Yogi Bear:-)
“It ain’t over, ’til it’s over”
and I have seen,
no fat lady,
preparing to sing,
so we’re good.
One of my weirdest contradictions,
or what I like to call,
my great dichotomy,
read it out loud it’s funnier:-)
is that I love both,
the great intellectual,
writers of the,
city scape,
and,
the homespun wisdom,
of the country.
Think,
Will Rodgers,
not Roy Rogers, BB is no cowboy.
Vive le difference!
Long live Dichotomy,
Dykedom?
Dykehood?
Oh forget it,
I’m babbling,
I’m in a good mood,
I hope you all are as well,
Later girls,
BB
Great dichotomy…hmmm…Why? Why must it be a dichotomy to enjoy both homespun and intellectual? I don’t find it dichotomous at all–I am in the minority, though.
Alice Walker explores the homespun vs intellectual dichotomy in her great short story, “Everyday Use”.
My dichotomy?…Rarely seen a junky romance–gay, lesbian, straight–that I won’t read…on vacation!…beach, mountains, wherever:-) While in ‘real life’ I have degrees in 19th and 20th cent. American and Multi-cultural lit…
Glad you’re taking the game in stride. If I could be so logical, then I too could be a real fan of some team or such:-)
Housekeeping: Why is the time stamp on your blog so off BB? Are you in some special time zone that one only enters in this Blogspace? ‘Not that there is anything wrong with having your own time zone…:-)
I fixed it, nothing gets by you my friend:-)
So-, me, you and Alice Walker:-)
