A day to remember

It is a grey cloudy,

November morning,

fitting,

for such a day,

as Remembrance day.

I was going to write,

a post on sexiness,

and,

how it is not only,

in the,

eye of the beholder,

but,

also their mind,

but,

on a day such as this,

we must pause to reflect,

on the horrors of war.

As Canadians we have,

a long history of war,

(not on our shores, participation in)

we have given much,

to war efforts,

perhaps,

too much.

Our men and women,

come back from Afghanistan,

wounded, maimed,

physically or otherwise,

sometimes,

they come back in body bags

(:

This angers me,

saddens me,

so much sacrifice,

for what?

I respect the military,

our soldiers,

brave, true.

I hate the reasons,

we send them there.

The powers that be,

who put them in harms way,

in order to manipulate,

political situations.

I think the Taliban are pretty much,

evil incarnate,

and,

I know our people want to help,

the Afghans be ‘free’,

I just wonder if they can.

I hate the hypocrisy that sends,

them over there,

wherever there,

may be,

and,

that doesn’t care for them,

when they come back.

Conservatives, Republicans,

whatevers,

are good at ‘starting’ wars,

not so good at,

ending wars,

and,

picking up the pieces.

We have learned so little,

from the great wars,

war is hell,

we shouldn’t go looking for it.

But,

today we must remember,

those who have gone before us,

and,

fallen,

we musn’t forget.

Later girls,

BB
