In the shop

I’ve said it before,

and,

I meant it,

but,

at this moment,

I believe I mean it,

most,

I need to step back,

from bookishbutch,

it has become stale,

and,

whiny,

and,

boring,

I have become,

stale and whiny and boring.

I don’t know how long,

it will last,

the break,

I don’t know.

I wish I did,

I also wish,

I had something to say,

but,

I don’t.

I won’t cheapen,

what I have done,

here,

more than I already have,

in the last few months.

My pilot light,

has gone out,

occasionally a match or lighter,

can reignite it,

but,

the pilot,

still needs.

to be,

repaired.

Maybe I can get a quick fix,

maybe,

I need an overhaul,

or,

perhaps,

I will have to,

brace myself,

for a rebuild,

new parts,

tools,

drilling,

welding.

Could be a few days,

a few weeks,

a few months,

I may even decide,

to get a new stove.

Thanks for being around,

through the borringness,

and,

I promise,

I’ll let you all,

know.

Be well,

all of you.

Later girls,

BB

I am a bookish butch in my mid early fifties. I live in Montréal and always have. I used to run a small used bookstore. Reading keeps me sane. My latest jiggie is photography, book project in the works, living the dream

  1. Good luck to you BB. I think it takes a lot to sustain a blog. To sustain one when your life is in a state of flux would be an astonishing achievement – unless your blog was devoted to the topic of living with uncertainty and change.

Happy winter to you – may the dark days bring you time to charge your batteries/restore your self.

  2. You know Dee, I don’t think I’m gonna give the blog up, just wait ’til I have something to say,
I hope you’ll keep coming around, I’d miss ya, but, I would understand as well, life goes on, right?

  3. I’m sorry if it sounded like I thought you were giving up the blog – I was using sustaining to mean posting consistently/regularly. I will always swing by to see what you’re up to – I feel as though we’ve only just started to get to know each other.
