Hermes, pretty ‘babies’

This post is dedicated to Frances:-)

Hermes Greek God,

of,

amongst other things,

travel and communication.

Hermes is also,

a great Parisian design institution,

famous for,

their bags,

their scents,

and for their,

typewriters,

yep,

typewriters,

John Steinbeck and his baby Hermes.

Sam Sheppard,

in playwright mode rather than actor mode:-)

Jack Kerouac’s last typewriter,

a Seafoam green Hermes 3000,

this was Jack’s last typewriter,

but,

he wrote ‘On The Road’ on,

a Remington,

Handsome guy, nice shirt<wink>

These machines,

have impecable,

lines,

and,

literary credentials,

and they sure are,

pretty,

Personally,

I’m leaning towards a Royal,

from the fifties,

not too flashy,

not too staid,

just right,

and on that note,

of silly, whimsy and frivolity,

I say,

see you in a few days,

I’m,

later girls,

BB

I am a bookish butch in my mid early fifties. I live in Montréal and always have. I used to run a small used bookstore. Reading keeps me sane. My latest jiggie is photography, book project in the works, living the dream

  1. BB: You are too sweet, ya know. Thank you. Kind of makes me want to find a huge white room in a big white house in a snowstorm and write.

And since no good deed goes unpunished… stay tuned for a dedication, backatya, sometime in the near future.
