Has the world really changed?

First rainy day,

we’ve had in,

weeks.

Well,

it feels like,

weeks:-)

An ‘up side’ to climate change, I guess?

I’ve been really,

busy,

good, good busy,

business,

has been brisk,

I’ll probabbly regret saying that and think I’ve jinxed things, if I have a bad day, you know messing with the full moon and all, but, here’s to living dangerously:-)

This has been,

a social butterfly week,

for me,

the expression is not mine, I see myself more as a bumblebee thick in the middle and not terribly aerodynamic:-)

Had dinner out a couple,

of times this week,

lots of social,

lots of conversation,

nice.

I’ve been reading,

my friends manuscript,

and,

I’m coming up to,

one of the most interesting,

of historical events,

the Russian Revolution,

Ten Days That Shook The World,

to use Jack Reed’s phrase.

I’ve always been fond,

of Jack Reed,

a romantic,

tragic,

figure,

a politically involved,

writer, journalist,

who went out,

and,

found the story,

rode along Pancho Villa,

in Mexico,

and spent,

the revolution in Russia,

dying too young,

a brilliant,

idealist,

in a time,

of profound change,

and ebulience.

These men and women,

were attempting to change,

the world,

and,

they did,

wonder what Jack, Emma, Prince Kropotkin,

would think,

of the world today,

a return,

to savage capitalism,

coupled with,

conspicuous consumption,

‘Plus ca Change….’

So, that’s what I’ve been thinking,

and,

reading about.
