March and Anarchist Ramblings

Well,

it’s the first day of March,

it’s snowing,

white and blowing,

kind of pretty,

kind of nasty,

a fitting beginning,

to March,

a tough month,

much maligned,

much deplored,

well,

in my part of the world,

it’s the,

‘I’m not sure I’ll make it through’ month,

but,

every year,

we do,

we surprise ourselves,

with our resilience.

St-Paddy’s day and an occasional Easter helps:-) You bring out the Kelly Green boxers and eat some Laura Secord Easter eggs and all of a sudden, things look brighter:-P

Been a strange week at the bookstore,

could be leap year,

it’s a theory.

People in a,

let’s talk,

rather than,

let’s buy,

kind of mood.

Socially things are quiet,

combination,

busy,

depressed,

suffering from a cold,

cycle,

this too shall pass.

Me?

I’m neither,

busy,

nor,

depressed,

as a matter of fact,

my mood is,

light,

hopeful.

I just don’t seem to have much,

to say

I’m not bored,

but,

I may be boring:-)

I haven’t been,

sleeping well,

and that may have,

affected,

my usual loquaciousness,

I mean,

I’m still chattering away,

I just don’t know,

how interesting,

or,

coherent it is:-)

Finished my war novels,

took me a while,

heavy going.

Now I’m reading some,

Anarchist writings,

Max Nettlau,

A Short History Of Anarchism,

some of,

Emma Goldman’s essays,

and,

Alexander Berkman’s Prison Memoirs.

A couple of factors,

have lead,

to my current,

renewed interest in Anarchism.

My friend Francoys’

Kropotkin manuscript,

and my growing belief,

that the only way,

to change things,

politically,

is to rise up,

refuse to participate,

in such a,

morally corrupt system,

in which,

we have no real influence,

we have the illusion of,

a say so,

we vote, right?

But, what are our choices?

There are no choices,

‘democracy’

and our right to vote,

are a bauble,

to pacify us,

to distract us,

from the state of our world,

it isn’t just about,

‘my’ part of the world,

it’s the whole world.

The occupy movements,

have sounded,

a wake up call,

where do we go?

I don’t know,

but,

we can’t,

stay on the same road,

we must stop,

and,

really consider the future.

What strikes me most,

about my recent reads,

is how very little the world,

has changed,

‘we’ are still manipulated,

by ‘our’ government into war,

the very rich get much richer,

we have more toys,

we consume more,

debt is astronomical,

and yet…

how much better off are we?

What will we leave our children?

That’s,

what I’ve been,

thinking about,

weird that my mood,

is good,

huh?

Later girls,

BB

thanks for putting up with my random ramblings:-)
