I hope all of you,
have been enjoying,
the holidays.
Mine have been nice.
Company,
not too much,
outings,
not too many.
One more with the kids,
on the weekend,
and,
a movie on New Years day,
and,
that will be it,
another Christmas,
come and gone,
no fighting,
very little arguing,
very cordial,
very nice,
I know this isn’t,
everyone’s experience,
and,
it hasn’t always been,
mine.
But, for the past few years,
it’s been,
relatively,
stress free,
and,
filled with people I love,
that isn’t to say,
that some of them,
don’t make me batty,
but,
I love them
đŸ™‚
Today was my last day off,
a quiet day,
spent,
doing,
not much,
blissful.
Mom and I watched,
You’ve Got Mail,
well,
I did,
she mostly snored,
mom is tired.
I love that movie,
so intelligently written,
well acted,
and,
with a beautiful New York setting,
the backdrop,
is the book business,
the changing nature of it,
and,
what I like most about it,
is the multi-dimentionality,
of the characters.
Love in the modern age,
the changing nature of means,
of meeting,
a potential soul mate,
lots of themes,
lots of ideas,
that’s a lot to get from,
a romantic comedy,
and,
yet,
that is what it is,
a romantic comedy,
for the mature woman.
Add to all that, Meg Ryan looking luminous,in sweater sets, and, well, you are pretty close to movie perfection, in my opinion. Note- I said movie and not film, this isn’t art, but, it is first class entertainment, satisfying and even, thought provoking.
You’ve probably all seen it,
a few times,
it’s an older movie,
but,
to me it’s like,
comfort food,
not mac and cheese,
or tomato soup and grilled cheese,
more like,
delicious,
nutritious,
and filling,
a complex vegatarian lasagna,
satisfying and rich,
that doesn’t,
leave you feeling,
like a beached whale.
I’m babbling,
just checking in,
hoping you are all well,
happy, healthy and loved.
Later girls,
