Oooh,
it was a hot one today,
heavy,
humid,
and,
hot,
mid thirties with humidex,
which means sticky.
No worries,
temporary,
rain coming,
this is all the snow,
we didn’t get this,
Winter:-)
I look forward to rain,
clean,
quiet,
as long as there is no flooding,
I’m good to go.
It was a chore day,
nothing major,
mostly errands,
and,
shopping.
Mom and I had,
burgers and greens,
for dinner.
Yesterday, we had one,
of our family birthday BBQ’S,
the weather was perfect,
everyone happy,
and,
healthy.
Two of mom’s cousins,
dropped by,
having heard,
through face book,
that it was her birthday,
nice,
how the Internet,
actually helps us reach out.
Some people worry,
about the encroachment,
on our privacy,
that social media,
like face book,
can represent,
a valid and legitimate,
point of view,
but,
times like yesterday,
all I can think of,
is how happy,
it made my mom,
seeing people she loves,
and,
rarely sees.
Warms the heart.
Today,
walking home listening,
to some tunes,
and catching,
my reflection,
in a car window,
I wondered to myself,
when I had become,
the woman with the graying hair,
who’s mother,
is seventy two,
and,
has white hair.
Yeah:-)
But, you know,
I’m grateful,
that I have her,
that she has me,
that we have each other.
Not everyone is as lucky,
sure,
we drive each other nuts,
but,
that’s part of love,
family,
and,
life.
