It’s a beautiful,
sunny morning,
was supposed to rain,
go figure:-)
The sidewalk sale,
was…
wait for it….
FUN.
I know,
I’m shocked too,
I had a good time,
not super busy,
because it was cool,
but,
from my stand point,
as a bookseller,
excellent.
Sold lots of books,
to bookish types,
the cheapos,
weren’t around,
who knows,
maybe it was divine intervention:-)
My sinuses have been acting up,
since the flood,
could be the smell,
the humidity,
anyway it’s getting better.
I spent last night recouping,
from the exhausting amount,
of charm output,
necessary,
to a successful,
sidewalk sale<wink>
Couldn’t read,
headache,
so I watched the hockey,
it’s the Stanley Cup Final,
in case anyone cares.
The New Jersey Devils,
are playing,
The Los Angeles Kings,
two bastions of hockey,
Newark and L.A.
đŸ™‚
actually they are both,
long standing teams,
the Devils have won,
a few cups,
and L.A.
was in the final once,
guess who beat them?
Yep,
that’s right,
my Habs,
the last of their cups,
1993.
L.A. had Gretsky then,
and they lost.
This year,
they look like winners,
even with the ole man in goals,
for the Devils,
Martin Brodeur,
the all time winningest goaltender,
he`s forty years old.
I`m not really excited about,
the outcome,
mom`s rooting,
for the Devils,
she thinks,
Brodeur is cute,
he is,
and their defensive coach,
is Larry Robinson,
The Larry Robinson.
I have a little soft spot for,
L.A.
I like underdogs,
be nice to see them win the cup,
in front,
of their movie star fans.
So that`s what`s new,
more soon,
slowly working my way,
through John Irving,
I`m loving it.
