We must…

Good morning,

sunny and crisp,

here in Montreal.

I apologise,

for my absence of late.

Been busy,

not in the best of ways,

but,

still.

My mom has been,

incapacitated by a slight,

back injury.

She’s much better now,

and,

I once again have time,

to indulge myself,

with my blog,

and,

babbling at my girls:-)

I miss you all,

when I don’t have,

time to write,

or when I can’t,

‘articulate’ my thoughts,

because of fatigue,

and,

an overall sense of,

lethargy and blah.

I’ve had several things,

on my mind,

that I’ve wanted to share.

I wanted to talk about,

the student strike,

here in Quebec,

and how,

it has brought to the,

forefront,

many things,

that need to be discussed,

and even,

rethought,

the times they are a changin’

and,

they must,

we can no longer,

let governments demonise,

students,

the poor,

welfare recipients,

‘criminals’,

old people.

For several years now,

there have been,

‘ad campaigns’,

that tell us the problems,

we have,

economically,

socially,

are due,

to leeches and freeloaders,

living off our hard earned,

tax dollars.

Our Universities,

are in trouble because,

students don’t pay,

their share,

never mentioning,

the corruption,

and bungling,

administration,

by the heads of,

said Universities,

not to mention,

incompetent ministers of education.

Welfare fraud,

is brought up,

and,

spun,

in our medias,

all the time,

when fiscal fraud,

and,

fiscal havens,

by the very rich,

are much more,

prevalent,

and costly.

We need to build more,

Prisons,

says our federal government,

to protect us,

and,

we need to privatise them.

In fact,

crime of a violent nature,

has been in decline,

in Canada,

for fifteen years,

marked,

decline.

Building more prisons,

and,

putting them in private hands,

will lead to a ‘creation’ of crime,

providing ‘customers’

for an industry.

An aging population,

costs so much to the state,

we are on the verge of bankruptcy!!!

Fact is,

spending more money,

on prevention,

ecercise programs etc,

would make healthier citizens,

but,

it wouldn’t make drug companies,

richer,

so that’s a ‘bad’ thing,

right?

It’s easy to believe,

the media spinning,

of government,

double speak,

it sounds reasonable,

right?

We are so tired,

and,

busy,

we start to buy,

this crap,

and,

crap it is.

The students are right,

the occupy movement is right,

we must take our countries back,

we must ask questions,

protest,

run for office,

whatever,

we can’t just put,

our heads down,

and,

keep on keeping on.

We must participate,

we must form,

our societies,

we must stop saying,

they are all the same,

and,

what can we do?

We can start,

by supporting,

these protest movements,

the cops aren’t our friends,

this isn’t an individual thing, some good cops, obviously,

they are there,

to protect order,

against students?

like they were against,

honest workers who wanted fair pay,

in the not so distant past?

‘We’ pay for this,

with our tax dollars,

us,

the 99%,

so the 1% can stay,

safe,

and,

‘explotive’.

Why do we?

Food for thought.

Thanks for listening,

I needed a good rant:-)

Tomorrow,

lighter stuff,

butch acquisitions for,

Spring and Summer,

and,

from a reader’s question,

How do I define, Butch?

Quite a question:-)

Later girls,

BB
