Peaches, stockings and Simon and Garfunkel

Cloudy and sort of,

gloomy today,

still riding the wave,

of blissful quiet,

haven’t done much,

in the last day,

ate,

slept,

napped,

read,

wrote,

napped again,

bliss,

the fatigue,

has practically,

evaporated.

I had forgotten,

just how,

wonderful,

long weekends,

can be.

Today,

after a few,

chores,

I’m going to the library,

I’ll take my time,

I’ll bring along a peach,

or two.

It’s the last of ,

the Ontario Peaches.

Niagara Valley peaches,

sweet, winney, juicy,

nothing better:-)

A few things Ontario,

has on Québec,

better economy,

stable government,

and,

peaches:-)

However,

our Strawberries,

apples,

mountain,

and,

joie de vivre,

compensate,

I think??

but,

those peaches nothing beats ’em.

Last night,

I watched,

The Graduate,

hadn’t seen it in years,

Anne Bancroft,

wow.

I always thought she was,

very sexy,

one of those,

gorgeous,

New York intellectuals,

who reads,

The New Yorker,

but,

I had forgotten,

about her stocking clad legs,

note to self: maybe you do think stockings are HOT:-)))

A terrific movie,

Bancroft,

a very young,

itensely earnest,

Dustin Hoffman,

intelligent, thoughtful, smart ass,

script,

and the music of,

the greatest harmonic duo,

of all time,

in my humble opinion,

Simon and Garfunkel,

it doesn’t get any better,

than that,

well,

maybe,

the peaches and,

the love of a good woman <wink>

but,

as far as movie experiences,

tough to beat.

One thing I noticed,

the songs,

great songs,

Sounds Of Silence,

Scarborough Fair,

Mrs Robinson,

they are ‘in’ more than one scene,

the music is very much part,

of the story.

This doesn’t happen,

anymore,

nowadays,

soundtracks,

have dozens of songs,

some of which,

you hear for less then,

thirty seconds,

in the movie.

Nothing wrong with it,

just different,

I guess,

our collective,

attention spans,

aren’t what they used to be.

I have loved,

Simon and Garfunkel,

since I was a kid,

pretty harmony,

smart,

deep,

light,

melancolic,

high spirit,

about,

love,

and/or,

irreverence,

beautiful.

I’m feelin’ groovy:-)
