Evil, Anarchy and grey October musings

It’s a grey day, today,

but,

the fall colours are,

still,

allĀ around us,

pleasure for the eyes.

The Habs lost,

last night,

it’s early in the season,

still,

but,

I’m not feeling optimistic.

I’ve been plowing my way,

through,

Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

Fascinating.

It shows,

such an ugly side,

of human nature.

The whole plot,

centers around,

the seduction,

and,

then abandonment,

of naive,

unsuspecting women.

Kind of ugly,

and reprehensible.

I’ve always wondered,

about,

the need,

some people,

feel,

to,

love ’em and leave ’em,

not much about love,

is it?

Of course,

I don’t mean,

harmless sexual acrobatics,

between,

consenting adults.

I, myself,

am a,

romantic,

love everlasting type,

hopelessly,

old fashioned.

But, you all knew that!!

Anyway,

it’s a good book,

epistolary in form,

most of the letters,

are between,

the Viscomte de Valmont,

and,

the Marquise de Merteuil,

smart, evil people.

I still have much to read,

I’ll keep you abreast.

I’ve also,

been learning tons,

about,

Anarchy,

I’m reading the manuscript,

of a good friend,

who also,

happens to be a brilliant,

historian.

So far,

riveting.

Hard to do sometimes,

with history,

but,

he manages.

When I look back,

on my college,

and,

university days,

I find that the political thinkers,

I admired the most,

were the anarchists,

passionate,

intelligent,

and,

with real abiding hope,

and faith in human nature.

So, here’s to the Goldmans, Bakounines, Proudhon, Kropotkins,

and others,

they tried to make the world,

a better place,

and some of their descendants,

are still working,

towards that.

Anarchists,

have a reputation for violence,

that is unwarranted,

they didn’t send our,

grandfathers to war,

did they?

Well,

later girls,
