It’s been a,
weird week,
mondo weird.
I don’t quite know why,
combination,
full moon,
early Spring,
weather,
all over the place,
snow,
rain,
very mild,
bonechilling damp,
all in a matter of a few days.
Oh,
and this time,
‘Springing’ forward thing,
exhausting,
for everyone,
but,
I think,
most especially,
for people with,
shall we say,
mental stability issues.
I live in,
and,
my bookstore,
is situated in,
what used to be,
a working class neighbourhood,
it has gone from,
a little rough,
around the edges,
to gentrifying,
the mix isn’t always,
an easy one,
add to that,
one of the biggest,
psychiatric hospitals,
in the province,
and you’ve,
got yourself,
quite a cocktail.
It’s fine,
it’s interesting,
it’s diverse,
but,
sometimes,
as a small business owner,
who sells books,
and,
prides herself on offering,
a haven,
for stimulating conversation,
a place where people can,
exchange ideas,
and find,
food for thought,
in more ways than one,
it can be hard.
Dr Bookish Butch,
I’m not,
but,
I feel people’s,
loneliness,
ostracism,
and,
even,
despair,
and since,
I offer a smile,
and a sympathetic ear,
I sometimes feel trapped,
behind my counter,
with people’s pain.
This has been one of those weeks.
The old Beatle song,
Eleanor Rigby’s refrain is,
All The Lonely People Where Do They All Come From,
This week,
it feels like the answer,
would be,
From Down The Street.
Thanks for listening,
tomorrow no ranting or whinning,
promise.
Later girls,

BB: Take a breath in hold it a moment and let it all go. Seems as if it is a strange time in the universe, and sensitive people might notice that it seems like a strange time in the world.
Good advice the breathing, I try:-) and writing the blog is the breathing equivalent.
Thanks
It doesn’t feel like ranting and whining…it just feels like a truthful observation. Pain seems to spread sometimes…
You’re right pain does seem to spread, like joy. Thanks for ‘listening’ and understanding:-)
